Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

A classic combination of peanut butter and chocolate, these delightful little bars require very little time and effort and are pretty enough for a place on your holiday buffet table.

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2-3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, peanut butter and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. Melt chocolate chips over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring occasionally; or, microwave on 50% power for 2 to 3 minutes until softened, then stir until smooth. Spread melted chocolate over the crumb crust.
  3. Chill for 5 minutes, then cut into bars before the chocolate is completely set and chill until ready to serve.
